Cancellation Policy

Reliable coverage depends on everyone honoring their commitments. This policy explains how cancellations and no-shows are handled.

1. Educator cancellations

If you cannot make a confirmed assignment, cancel through the platform as early as possible — every hour of notice helps the center find coverage. Cancellations are recorded and factor into your Reliability Score:

  • 24+ hours notice: minimal score impact
  • Under 24 hours: moderate impact
  • Same-day or no notice: significant impact
  • No-show without cancellation: the most serious impact, and repeated no-shows lead to suspension

Documented emergencies are reviewed with context — we distinguish a genuine crisis from a pattern.

2. Center cancellations

Centers are expected to honor confirmed assignments. When a center cancels:

  • The educator is notified immediately through the platform
  • Late cancellations (under 24 hours) are recorded on the center's marketplace record and visible in reviews
  • Repeated last-minute cancellations affect the center's standing and may lead to suspension

Compensation for cancelled assignments is governed by the terms stated in the listing and applicable law; centers are encouraged to state cancellation terms clearly on every opportunity.

3. No-show reviews

When either party reports a no-show, the assignment enters a no-show review. Both sides can share context before a determination is recorded. Determinations affect Reliability Scores and marketplace standing, and can be appealed through the Contact page.

4. Subscription cancellation (centers)

Center subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and remain active through the end of the current billing period. Founding pilot pricing is locked for the pilot term as described on the Founding Pilot page. Cancelling a subscription does not delete your center's records or reviews.

5. Account closure (educators)

Educator accounts are free and can be closed at any time from account settings or by contacting us. Closing your account removes you from the marketplace; records needed for safety, legal, or dispute purposes are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
